We are pleased to announce the artists for the Oregon Contemporary Artists’ Biennial. Twenty-three artists will be presenting in the exhibition, programs and performances, or a combination over April 26- August 4 of 2024. The Artists’ Biennial artists are:
Anne Greenwood, Bean Gilsdorf, Bridgette Hickey, Carla Bengtson, daelyn lambi, Epiphany Couch, Horatio Hung-Yan Law, Marcus Fischer, Maxx Katz, Meech Boakye, Megita Denton, Methods Body, Michael Espinoza, Morgan Ritter, Patricia Vázquez Gómez, Rainen Knecht, Sarah Rushford, Srijon Chowdhury, Tyler Stoll, UwU Collective, and Vo Vo.
The Artists’ Biennial is a survey of works by visual and performing artists who are defining and advancing Oregon’s contemporary art landscape. Jackie Im and Anuradha Vikram are the curators of the 2024 Biennial, which is focused on themes of networks, community, care, and support. Rather than a hierarchical approach to artists' works, the curators' goal is to present work that is timely and relevant to the communities of Oregon.

I will merge Raymains Blanket Co. textiles with Shapes of Land paper book edition as an experiential narrative and participatory installation to complement the unique fabric book on view at Oregon Contemporary. The event will extend into the community with a soundscape event hosted at Albina Green.

Shapes of Land book and related Soundscape Gathering celebrate the Oregon Contemporary (Ox) Artists’ Biennial’s ablaze with our care, its ongoing song.
The merging of Raymains Blanket Co. textiles with Shapes of Land paper book edition and the Albina Green create this experiential connective narrative and participatory installation activating the unique fabric book on view at Ox. The Albina Green and the Raymains blankets provide a resting place, while the book reproductions, and music by Marisa Anderson, extend an opening into expansive landscapes that focus on themes of community, care, support, and networks.

Albina Green is a grassroots public greenspace founded in 1998 by a group of community members, located on the corner of North Albina & Sumner Streets in Portland, Oregon.
Shapes of Land paper reproduction was designed, printed and bound by Gary Robbins of Container Corps. in Portland, Oregon. It is printed in a limited edition of fifty and is for sale at the upcoming Soundscape Gathering, Oregon Contemporary, Passages Bookshop, and though my email contact. Partial proceeds from sales of this book will help fund an upcoming textiles project with Amy Hargrave's Jefferson High School artists.
Raymains Blanket Co. was formed in 2019 with generous support from Portland Garment Factory's Artists-in-Residence. The project was developed by sister-brother team, Anne and Tom Greenwood, during their residency at PGF. The blankets are made of upcycled wool scraps from Pendleton Woolen Mills, and are naturally dyed and constructed in my studio. Raymains continues to take many forms, working with new collaborators, and creating blankets for many different purposes. Partial proceeds from sales of these new blankets will help fund an upcoming textiles project with Amy Hargrave's Jefferson High School artists. The blankets will be for sale at the event and through my email contact. Several of the blankets from this edition will be gifted to elders in the Humboldt neighborhood.
