Ray-mains Blanket Company was started in 2019 by siblings Anne & Tom Greenwood and makes its debut here today at the Albina Green 20th Year Celebration. This opening event features an edition of 44 handmade Pendleton scrap wool blankets made with generous support from Britt Howard and the Portland Garment Factory.
Funds from blanket sales will pay the artists you see here tonight and cover costs for this delicious food. In addition, 10% of all sales will be donated to NAYA (Native American Youth Association & Family Center). Our fundraising targets:
$1500 -pays for all the curated performers, food and promotional materials
$2000 -pays for above, plus MC, projectionist, DJ, curation
$4000 -pays for all above plus the blanket production & 10% donation to NAYA
NAYA is a 45 year-old urban Indian agency that impacts the lives of over 10,000 individuals from over 380 tribal backgrounds annually.* NAYA was serving this community at the corner of North Mississippi & Shaver for many years until it relocated in the 90’s to Columbia Blvd where it currently sits. We are grateful for NAYA’s continued efforts and hope our donation might serve as a small indication of that gratitude.
